The Craven-Pamlico Regional Library Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting on September 23, 2026, at 9:00 am, in the Auditorium of the New Bern – Craven County Public Library located at 400 Johnson Street, New Bern, NC. The purpose of the Special Meeting is to discuss a possible temporary closure of the New Bern-Craven County Public Library on October 10, 2026; to discuss a request for an hourly rate increase from legal counsel; to discuss potential personnel policy revisions regarding screening of new hires; and to hold a closed session pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes §143-318.11(a)(3) & (6) to discuss personnel and consult with legal counsel.
