Notice: The Craven - Pamlico Regional Library (Library) Board of Trustees is deeply saddened to report that the Twin Rivers Friends (formerly known as the Friends of the New Bern - Craven County Public Library) has made the decision not to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding its relationship with the Library, despite much discussion and collaboration regarding the proposed terms. Twin Rivers Friends has also changed its name, expanded its mission, and will no longer exclusively be supporting the Library.
The Board desires to closely align itself only with a support group focused exclusively on Library goals, objectives, and funding. Accordingly, the Library is hereby advising the public that because the Twin Rivers Friends no longer operates exclusively for the benefit of the Library, the Library is no longer affiliated with the Twin Rivers Friends and the Library will no longer be accepting donations on behalf of the Twin Rivers Friends but will continue to accept donations made directly to the New Bern-Craven County Public Library.
